Christmas is coming…
The nights are drawing in, leaves are beginning to fall and, before you know it, we’ll be opening doors on advent calendars. Across all of our resorts, we’ve been busy making plans for all sorts of festive celebrations, from the annual Tramp’s Supper at Clowance to a fabulous New Year’s Eve party at Whitbarrow.
Take a look at what’s in store at each of our resorts this year.
Christmas at Whitbarrow
There’s nothing more magical than spending the festive season surrounded by glittering lakes and snow-capped peaks. Christmas in the Lake District is all about those bracing hilltop walks followed by warming drinks in front of the fire. And if you have little ones in tow, we can guarantee you’ll find plenty of children’s activities taking place at top attractions like The World of Beatrix Potter, South Lakes Safari Zoo, and Brockhole adventure park.
But if you don’t fancy straying too far from your cosy lodge, the good news is that we’ve got plenty of on-site activities planned. From Christmas check-in on 21st December right through to the 3rd of January, we’ve lined up arts and crafts, Splash Time, and lots more daytime activities for children. And when the evenings draw in, you can expect live music, festive quizzes and much more. Plus, we’ve planned a fabulous New Year’s Eve celebration to ensure you ring in 2020 in style.

Christmas at Clowance
Crisp coastal walks, the twinkling Christmas lights at Mousehole Harbour, and bustling festive markets – Cornwall has so much to offer during the festive season. If you’re planning a romantic Christmas or twixmas getaway, make the most of the quieter beaches and charming Cornish estates like Trelissick. Or, if you’re travelling with a crowd, head on over to The Eden Project to get stuck into the festivities.
At Clowance this year, we’ll have all of the festive favourites, including Santa’s grotto, our traditional Tramp’s Supper of fish and chips on Christmas Eve, and plenty of kids activities to keep you and the little ones merry throughout your stay. We’ll also have live entertainment in our newly refurbished café bar, and will be serving up a delicious Christmas lunch with all the trimmings on the big day.

Christmas at Burn
Christmas in Cornwall always promises to be something special, but Burn Coastal Retreat’s position on the North Cornish coast makes it a perfect place to celebrate. From Boxing Day walks along the clifftops to lazy afternoons spent exploring quaint seaside towns like Port Isaac and Padstow, there’s countless things to see and do. Plus, there’s something truly magical about spending Christmas morning on Summerleaze Beach.
As always, we’ve got plenty planned for our Christmas guests at Burn Coastal Retreat. We’ll be welcoming you with mulled wine and mince pies and treating the little ones to all sorts of festive activities throughout your stay, from Splash Time to arts and crafts. And in the evenings, we’ve lined up live entertainment from acts including James Dixon and Bache.
