Why Clowance is the perfect destination for a springtime getaway
You can’t beat a springtime getaway, particularly in a place as beautiful as Cornwall. But there are a few things which really help put our Clowance resort head and shoulders above the rest.
Read on to find out why you should head south to Clowance this spring.
Outdoor adventures
With so many outdoor activities to get stuck into, there’s no better place to make the most of the springtime sunshine. Embark on an afternoon stroll around the grounds, take a rowing boat out on Clowance lake, or play one of our giant board games. Plus, during the school holidays, little ones can take part in everything from arts and crafts sessions to archery.
Beautiful bluebells
Clowance is fortunate enough to have it’s very own woodland which, throughout April and May, is carpeted in bluebells. The woods are just a short distance from our accommodation, and feature plenty of flat, pushchair-friendly paths, making it the perfect place for a morning jog or a peaceful afternoon stroll.
New accommodation
Clowance is now home to a growing range of stunning accommodation. You can take to the treetops and relax in our luxury Treehouse, stay in our former rectory, The Gate House, or unwind in one of our ever-popular St Ives Lodges. Should you choose to visit us this spring, you can also be one of the first to stay in our newly refurbished Coach Houses.
Unbeatable location
Clowance is perfectly positioned between Falmouth and St Ives, making it the ideal base for all manner of Cornish adventures. You can sample your first ice cream of the year at the award-winning Moomaid of Zennor in St Ives Harbour, see beautiful spring blossoms at the Lost Gardens of Heligan, or feast on delicious food and drink at the upcoming Porthleven Food Festival.
Fabulous new facilities
One of the most exciting things about visiting Clowance in the spring is that you’ll be able to enjoy our newly refurbished facilities. Our pool and restaurant is currently undergoing a makeover and is due to reopen after Easter with a brand new look that’s inspired by our elegant grounds and gardens.
