Join in with the Great British Beach Clean

At Luxury Lodge Estates we’re privileged to have so many beautiful beaches just a short distance from our estates, from Ayrshire to Carmarthenshire, the Solway Firth to Cornwall.

At Burn, Bude, we’re especially lucky to have some of Devon and Cornwall’s favourite sandy stretches right on our doorstep including Summerleaze, Crooklets and Widmouth Beach. Whether you’re building a sandcastle or surfing the waves, walking the cliff tops or investigating rockpools, there’s no better place to spend time with you family, anything from just a few hours to an entire day.

One of our favourite spots is the secluded Welcombe Mouth and we’re delighted to be supporting the Great British Beach Cleanwww event here on September 17^th.

The Great British Beach Clean is an annual event taking place all over the country. Thousands of people will be coming together over one weekend to pick up litter and help contribute to an important national and global survey on the health of our seas and coastal areas.

Last year nearly 6,000 volunteers took part and collected a huge 268,384 individual pieces of rubbish and very pleasingly, the number of plastic bags reduced by 50% which is fantastic news.

If you’d like to join likeminded people that care about keeping our wonderful beaches clean, register here today. You’ll need sturdy footwear but all other equipment will be provided for you. Best of all there’ll be free hot drinks and cake after the clean to say thank you!
