What’s on in Bude this September
Self-catering holidays in North Cornwall aren’t complete without a trip to the Eden Project. Nestled in a huge crater, the Biomes house the largest rain forest in captivity, stunning plants, and exhibitions that connect us with each other and the living world, exploring how we can work towards a better future.
3-2-1… Your last chance to blast off into space at the Eden Project
If you’re really quick, you can just catch the end of the excellent ‘Journey into space’ exhibition at the Eden Project. Get ready to boldly go where no visitor has gone before as you explore our solar system and uncover the secrets of the universe – all in one epic day out.
The exhibition closes on September 3rd and the Eden Project is open late until 8pm Monday to Thursday. So you can choose to visit for the whole day or take advantage of reduced entry after 3.30pm Just stop by on your way home from the beach. It could be a day of sandcastles and stars!

Newquay Fish Festival
This 3-day annual event in the Cornish town of Newquay is a celebration of all the stunning cuisine found literally on its doorstep, fish! Enjoy live cooking demonstrations from the top local chefs such as John Fish (what a fitting name!) and Chris Archambault plus learn more about the best accompanying wines with a demo from head sommelier Elly Owen, in addition to the great music and entertainment from Mount Charles Band from Last Night at the Proms.
