As seen on Instagram: the most beautiful springtime scenes in Cornwall
One of the best things about Instagram is that it enables you to see the world without even leaving your sofa. As recent events have left us unable to venture out and discover the delights of the season, we thought there was no better time to bring you some of our favourite photographs of springtime in Cornwall.
Newquay
If springtime is famous for one thing, it has to be brightly coloured blossoms. We love these clusters of yellow on the seashore on the beach at Newquay and the way the sunlight sparkles on the waves.

Padstow
This charming seaside town is famed for its seafood, and this shot of fishing boats in the harbour is simply magical. We love the reflection of the sun-drenched clouds in the aquamarine water below and the fact that the scene looks so serene and peaceful.

St Michael’s Mount
This iconic island quite often has a beautiful sunset as its backdrop, however the sea of pink flowers captured in the foreground of this shot makes the scene truly spectacular. The moody skies and blanket of colour is synonymous with the season, and the fact that they appear to stretch out in front of you for miles makes it all the more dramatic.

The Lost Gardens of Heligan
While this photograph of the Lost Gardens of Heligan may look like it was captured in the height of summer, it was in fact taken at the beginning of April. These almost jungle-like gardens are home to a wide range of species and it’s wonderful to see them come to life again in the springtime.

Wheal Coates
With swirling skies, moody sunlight, and waves crashing against the rocks below, this image of these historic cliff top ruins perfectly captures the drama of the Cornish coastline at springtime.

St Ives
Although the sun is shining in this picture, you can tell the freshness of spring is in the air. We love that the blue skies are reflected in the ripples on the sand, and also how the shade of the sky matches almost perfectly with the hull of the boat.
