Looking ahead to 2019

As a new year begins, we’ve been reflecting on what has been an exciting 12 months for us here at Luxury Lodges. Below is a round up of all the developments that took place in 2018, as well as an exclusive look at what we have in store for the year ahead.

A new brand

In late 2017, we underwent a series of brand workshops to define the core concept of our new brand: home. We feel our exclusive lodges are just like home; you can make them your own and there really is nowhere else like them. After finalising our new look and feel, we showcased our new brand through a shiny new website, which went live at this time last year.

New accommodation

Throughout 2018, we launched several fabulous new properties across our collection of resorts. Here’s just a few of our favourites:

The Treehouse

Nestled in the heart of Clowance resort lies the Treehouse on the Lake. Offering fantastic amenities and unique, woodland-inspired furnishings, this beautifully designed forest retreat offers a unique destination for those looking to unleash their inner child and enjoy a luxurious break with a difference.

The Gate House

A former rectory, the Gate House is perfect for a cosy, secluded retreat in the Cornish countryside. With beautiful features including elegant stonework, ornate lattice windows and a private terrace with an outdoor hot tub, this quaint hideaway is the ideal location for guaranteed relaxation.

The Glasshouse

Modern, stylish, and flooded with natural daylight, the Glasshouse is perfect for unwinding and enjoying stunning views of the surrounding countryside. An added bonus is the private terrace, which is ideal for al fresco dining or gazing at the stars.

An award-winning year

We were delighted to scoop the ‘Self Catering Holiday Provider of the Year 2018’ award for the Farmhouse apartments at Whitbarrow. Now in their 16th year, the Cumbria Tourism Awards celebrate the very best of Cumbria’s £2.9 billion visitor economy.

As well as looking for a self catering property which was of the highest quality, the judges also paid particular attention to a number of factors, including guest feedback, accessibility, and commitment to sustainability. While we scored highly across all areas, we firmly believe that the team at Whitbarrow played a vital role in the end result.

New things in store

We have lots exciting more developments planned for 2019. Here’s just a few of the things we have in store.

Laugharne

Our new resort overlooking the Taf Estuary in Carmarthenshire will be open from July 2019. The resort will feature world-class spa and dining facilities and beautifully furnished accommodation and is nestled in an area surrounded by mountains, lush green landscapes and secluded ancient forests.

The Coach Houses

We’ve also just launched our stunning Coach House properties. Bursting with character, these beautifully decorated properties feature exposed beams, high ceilings, and a mezzanine level, all perfectly designed for a relaxing luxurious getaway.

New St Ives Lodges

Clowance resort will soon also have a collection of 20 St Ives Lodges. Instantly recognisable due to their distinctive A-frame design, cosy interiors and fabulous outdoor hot tubs, we’re delighted to be adding more of these popular properties to our portfolio.

Pool and restaurant at Clowance

This year, the pool and restaurant at Clowance will also be undergoing an extensive refurbishment. With a brand new look and feel inspired by the estate’s elegant house and grounds, we’re sure that you’re going to love making the most of this newly styled space during your next visit.
